The Frankfurt Motor Show of 2011 will be the venue where the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will make its first public appearance. The officials have said that the launch of the SLS AMG Roadster will be the biggest launch from Mercedes-Benz in 2011.



However, the gull wing doors that are present in the standard SLS AMG will not be present on the Roadster, which may prove to be appealing to many who considered that the gull wing door feature was too over the top for their taste.

Reports confirm that the vehicle will be equipped with the 6.3 liter (6,208cc) V8, which promises an output of 420 kW (571 PS / 563 hp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Getting from 0-100 takes a mere 4.0 seconds and the SLS AMG Roadster will give a top speed of 309 km/h (192 mph).
