Article Summary:
Article Content:
The Audi e-tron roadster concept will be introduced at the Paris Motor Show. It is understood that the concept will be based on the R4 e-tron that was seen at the Detroit Motor Show in January. The only difference will be that the roof will be convertible.
The R4 e-Tron coupe that debuted at the Detroit Show had featured a lithium-ion battery powering two electric motors that together produced 50kW (204 PS / 201 hp) and 2,650 Nm (1955 lb-ft) of torque. This meant that the car was capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and was able to hit a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph).
There is not much detail available, or even pictures, coming from the company right now. It is also not sure how the lack of a top will affect the speeds that were demonstrated earlier. Auto freaks are anticipating that this will make the sleek e-tron better than before.
