It seems like there’s a bit of trouble at the Chrysler stables. Plans to launch the revived model of the popular Dodge Viper have been stalled, at least for the time being. The news comes from Street Racing Technology CEO Ralph Gilles who has been quoted as saying that Chrysler is having trouble finding suppliers to build elements for its high-end model.
As you would already know, Viper used to be one of the out-of-age model cars, first produced in 1991 and one of the first to employ V10 engines. The company is having problems even as it looks for suppliers.
With low production vehicles seeing a dip, many of the suppliers are on the hunt for big accounts. But then, Viper seems not to be able to cope up with that demand.
However, Viper also could see some ray of hope, with the car maker bent on developing the model for roll out in late 2012.
When the new dodge comes around it’s going to be great fun speeding round in a classic American car. When it is back however you can see car accident claims no win no fee starting to rise as everyone tries to join in the fun.
