The front part follows the styling that made everyone fall in love, with the circular headlamps, sharp, arrow-like nose and deep Alfa shield grille. However, the rear part is new and, with the steeply raked tail, small spoiler, twin exhausts and circular LED tail-lamps, we might just look at the next hot hatch out there.

Based on the Fiat Bravo and Lancia Delta platform, the 149 will be available in three- and five-doors versions and it will be powered by a 1.4-litre petrol turbo and 1.9 diesel units ranging from 120 hp to 250 hp.
